Some Fuel is a small service run by PittsDev LLC. It exists so that people can leave encouragement for someone doing something hard, and so that person can read or hear it later. This page explains what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it. We try to collect as little as possible.

If you send someone fuel (supporters)

You don’t need an account. When you send a message we store the message itself: the text you wrote, and any voice recording, photo, or video you attached, along with the name you typed (optional), the category you chose, and the time. That content is visible only to the runner who owns the event and is stored in a private bucket; it is never public and there is no feed. We also keep a one-way hash of your IP address for one hour to limit abuse. We do not store the raw address, and we do not use cookies or analytics on supporter pages.

If you run an event (runners)

You sign in with your email address; we email you a one-time code and never store a password. We keep your email, the events you create (title, your name, description, date, optional photo link), and the messages people send you, including whether you have marked them seen, favorite, or hidden. The app also keeps a copy of your messages on your phone so they work without signal.

Text-to-speech

When autoplay reads a text message aloud, the text of that message and the sender’s name are sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. The resulting audio file is stored with the message. If you would rather this never happen for your event, tell us and we will turn it off; the app will use your phone’s built-in voice instead.

Interest list

If you leave your email on the landing page, we keep it (and the note you wrote) so we can tell you when the app is available. Reply to any message from us to be removed, or email the address below.

Where things live

Data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage, United States) and served by Vercel. Sign-in emails are sent by Supabase. We don’t sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.

Deleting things

Runners can delete an event from the app or the web dashboard, which removes every message and file in it, and can delete their whole account the same way, which removes all events and the account itself. Supporters who want a specific message removed can ask the runner to hide or delete it, or email us with the event link and we’ll take care of it.

Children

Some Fuel is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
